User Account and Contact Information

Groupit relies on the accuracy of User contact information for critical communications including but not limited to the fund transfers, user payments, fulfillment and shipping of items, opening and closing of accounts, refunds and balance redemptions. Should User contact information change, User promises to update their contact information within two weeks from the date of the contact information change.

Service Fee

For an introductory period of time determined by Groupit, there is no service fee on contributions made through the site. Groupit reserves the right to reinstate a service fee on all contributions collected through User’s use of the Service ("Service Fee"). Groupit reserves the right to alter this service fee at any time and will notify users of the website before the change is made. Users may also be charged a processing fee by PayPal. Groupit may not have control over these fees and directs all Organizers and Users to PayPal.com for additional information. Groupit does not have a sign-up fee. Redemption

All funds collected through through the Service can be redeemed at any time. In many cases, contributions will be deposited directly into Organizer’s PayPal account. In these cases, Groupit does not have control over Organizer’s funds and no redemption through Groupit is required.

Organizer Excess Balance

It is possible that certain Groupits may collect more than the target amount. It is the sole responsibility of the Organizer to manage those excess funds. Groupit is not responsible for refunding any excess funds to Users and holds no responsibility for the use or misuse of said funds, excess or otherwise.

Refunds

Upon the completion of a contribution given by a User, Groupit holds no responsibility for refunds. It is the sole responsibility of Users to verify their contributions are directed towards the correct Organizer account. All refunds requests must be sent directly to the Organizer and are the sole responsibility of the Organizer to process. Groupit encourages Users to submit a support ticket on our contact page or call 888-830-5411 for all non-refund related site problems or errors.

Closing Your Account

At any time, you may close your account. Organizers and Users may request that their account be closed by contacting support@groupit.com.

Charitable and Non-profit Organizations

Groupit is not responsible for the transactions a User may conduct with charitable/non-profit organizations as a result of the use of Groupit services. Groupit is not responsible for monitoring, confirming, or reviewing the conduct, status, representations, or other actions or omissions of the charitable/non-profit organizations.

Taxation Consequences

The Organizer acknowledges that Groupit makes no claims or promises regarding any and all tax obligations or consequences that may result from your activities as an Organizer of Groupit and the Organizers's use of the services provided by Groupit. Furthermore, the Organizer agrees that Groupit has no obligation to maintain records or provide you with documentation of your transactions with charitable/non-profit organizations for tax reporting purposes.

Your Content

Any creative or original materials or any other creative suggestions, text, software, music, sound, photographs, graphics, videos, messages, ideas, notes, drawings, concepts, marketing plans or other information that you submit to us ("Content") by electronic mail or otherwise, will be treated in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.

By submitting and/or posting Content to the website, you automatically grant to Groupit a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive and fully sublicensable right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, edit, translate, distribute, perform, create derivative work of and display such Content alone, or as a part of other works in any form, media, or technology, whether now known or hereafter developed.
